Hurricane Birthday

While everyone evacuated NYC, I was convinced by a few good people to keep the party going...








3 am. Night ends at an east village polish diner and a new found love for blueberry perogies. Delish.


Italian rum cake and the Wrath of Irene


The week of the hurriquake is over, and luckily everyone I know stayed safe tucked up inside participating in hurricane parties and sleepovers. While the winds were busy knocking branches over outside I was lost in Mad Men season 1, drinking mimosas and indulging in Italian rum cake. Perfect last meal, and fortunately we all woke up in one piece!
